SILVERFISH !!!

 

These creepy looking little bugs can become annoying very quickly. I had never seen nor heard of Silverfish until recently moving back to my hometown of New Orleans. I began to see them in my home, so I needed to find a solution to getting rid of them for good.

 

I’ve done research online using Google search, YouTube, eBooks, and other social media resources looking for a solution to remove Silverfish bugs that I found in my home.

 

 

Most of the content that I found showed DIY SOLUTIONS that you could use to remove Silverfish bugs from your home.

 

 

TIPS 1 : Using taped glass jar

 

This is simple to implement and not very costly

 

STEP BY STEP

Using a taped glass jar with bread crumbs or cereal inside to attract the Silverfish bugs.

Once the Silverfish bugs are inside of the glass jar they will be trapped, as they are not able to climb up the glass jar.

After the Silverfish bugs are trapped in the jar they will die and over time their bodies will become harden shells which you can dump out so that you can re-use the jar if need be for trapping more Silverfish bugs.

 

TIPS 2 : NATURAL LAVENDER PLANT 

 

Place bucket of natural lavender flower pots all over the house. The odor of the dried lavender will naturally get rid of the Silverfish.

 

         

TIPS 3 : LAVENDER OIL 

 

Another common, DIY SOLUTIONS is to use “Lavender oil” as a deterrent around the house.

 

        

This is a good solution if you are a fan of Lavender oil. You may use used essential oil as a house fragrance. Another option, is to make an oil solution and spray around the house.
