Halal Travel | Free & Easy Holiday to Brisbane, Australia

Planning a Free & Easy Holiday with friends or family is not difficult if we make early survey on the attraction places, place to stay and also the flight cost. There are also many local tour trip organized by tour agency which you can get from the hotel concierge and tourist center in the city. We choose to have a free & easy holiday which we take our own leisure time to travel around Brisbane.

This is our Free & Easy 10 days holiday schedule.

FLIGHT

Since it was a last minute booking from Thailand, we manage to get a return flight ticket from Bangkok to Brisbane at 2700 ThaiBath. The flight took us approximately 8hours. We depart at 12.03am. In the Thai Airways flight we were served with a dinner and breakfast prior to arrival.

We landed at Brisbane Airport and took a cab to the hotel. It cost us about 50.00AUD for the one way trip for 3 persons. You may go to the Information Counter in the airport to get information of public transportation available from private cab, van, bus and Uber ride. It is very easy to get transport to the city.

ACCOMODATIONS

First 2 nights, we stay at IBIS STYLES BRISBANE which is located at Elizabeth Street. The hotel is just next to MYER Shopping Center and 500 meters near the river.

But the rooms we stayed was a bit small and we cannot do basic cooking, so we decided to move to a bigger hotel-apartment Capri by Frasers located on Albert Street. The room rate is a bit expensive but we are happy with the size of the rooms and the facilities available. The hotel is about 500 meters to Myer Shopping Center.

FOOD

The hotel apartment has basic facilities: microwave that we can do basic cooking and re-heating with fully furnished. Some days, we prefer to have salad and buy some seafood and cook in our hotel rooms.

There are many Asian restaurants and halal food is available in every corner. Next to Capri by Fraser , you may find a Turkish fast food, Halal Korean restaurant and a Malaysian restaurant.

Per meals : Kebab set – 10.00AUD , Rice set 10-15.00AUD, Sandwich 8-10.00AUD

In the Myer Center, several halal food courts serving Indian food.

“Coles Supermarket” sells halal beef and halal chicken. To obtain a halal food is not an issue in Brisbane.

If you want to check in the bag , you need to show to the ticketing counter for validation. Food and beverage receipt cannot be claim.
