Population of Muslim in Thailand is 5% and in Bangkok itself is approximately 400,000.
Muslims are scattered throughout Thailand and most concentrate at the Southern Thailand : Yala, Narathiwat, Satun and Pattani.
Muslims in Bangkok mainly in these main areas : Nong Chok and Min Buri , one of 50 districts in Bangkok. In Min Buri district population approximately 160,000.
THE HALAL BEEF INDUSTRY IN THAILAND
Halal beef industry in Thailand cater to 4-5% of Muslim population. As my understanding from the family owned halal beef processing in Bangkok. Normally, the bee processor will get the cows from farms around Bangkok and then arranged for a halal slaughtering then only supply to beef processing plant to cut the beef into various cuts, sizes and weight then deliver though-out Bangkok and the nearby province.
Certificate of Halal
All the beef slaughtering and processing are being monitored by the Halal Certificate body in Thailand which have offices in every province.
The authority will come to visit every 4 months and the halal inspection is done for certificate annual renewal. What I saw that the Muslim religious department here is very stringent on the audit of halal done by certified ustaz appointed by the Islamic Religious Department in Thailand.
