This week, the Senate also passed a bill to promote research into the medical benefits of marijuana. Senator Chuck Schumer is expected to introduce that bill in the coming weeks. He also said that he used to support tough-on-marijuana policies earlier in his political career. The MORE Act, however, is expected to fail in the Senate.
